You could also let the children draw their own vegetable shop posters. Discuss Canned Vegetables: Show pictures or real cans of three different vegetables. Talk about what’s inside and then colour pictures of the cans. Design Vegetable Cans: Let the children get creative by drawing and decorating their own vegetable can designs. Label and Colour Vegetables: Give the children the worksheet with pictures of six different vegetables to label and colour. Make a Vegetable List: Show the colourful picture with lots of vegetables and ask the children to list all the veggies they see. Create a Colourful Vegetable: Provide simple shapes of vegetables and let the children decorate them to make their own colourful vegetable art/ or use the worksheet provided. If you can, use real vegetables so the children can touch and smell them. This makes learning more fun and sensory.
